Reading: The students are continuing to read biographies this week as they seek to find more information about their heroes and just what makes that person a hero.
Read Aloud: The students are thoroughly enjoying Echo! Mike and Frankie, our two orphan boys, have just been adopted, but it doesn't feel quite right. There was something odd about this adoption.
Math: The students are working on a fraction menu this week as we continue to focus on equivalent fractions and comparing fractions. We may get to adding fractions by the end of the week.
Language Arts: As part of our science unit, the students will be reading and writing a variety of poems about space this week.
Science: Space exploration is something that fascinates us all, especially 4th graders. They have had lots of great ideas and questions. This week, we will be investigating just how Space Exploration has affected our daily lives. It is truly remarkable just how much scientists have learned about and what scientists developed because of space exploration. We will be exploring this great NASA website to learn more.
Alabama History: Why were people flocking to Alabama? What does it take to become a state? When did we become a state? These are just a few of the questions we'll be investigating this week.
