On Friday morning, all of Shades Cahaba gathered together at the flag pole for a special celebration. We gathered to hear just how much money we had raised to support the fight against cancer through Relay for Life. That grand total was astounding:
This total did not include the well over $600 raised on Friday alone for "Crazy for a Cure." Our final numbers, including some donations Friday night, got us to just shy of $7,000, the largest fundraising group for Relay for Life of Homewood! What an amazing donation! Thank you for your help and support!
We kicked off Relay for Life by doing our own lap around the school. This is always a highlight in the year, seeing the entire school come together for one great cause. Our class walked around the school with their character partners, helping them to understand just how meaningful this event was.
Thanks for helping us make a difference in the fight against cancer!
